Village Shopping Centre

The Village Shopping Centre (commonly referred to as The Village) is a shopping centre in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, and is the second largest mall in Newfoundland and Labrador (after the Avalon Mall, also in St. John's). It offers about 80 stores and services, a food court, and formerly contained a central water fountain area.

Wal-Mart (and previously Woolco) previously occupied the opposite side of the shopping centre, but was moved to neighbouring Mount Pearl as a 'box' store. Since then, the area has since been used for television and movie sets, by the retail outlet Office Furniture Warehouse owned by East Coast Liquidation, and most recently by Dollarama and a Convergys call centre (top floor); Urban Planet and a new mall entrance has been added where the bottom floor of the Walmart was located. The mall's third-largest tenant, Winners, recently relocated to the Avalon Mall, and the space has been filled by GoodLife Fitness.

Its other anchor tenant, Sears, has closed and in the top floor location a new Hart Stores department store has opened while the lower section is now a SportChek, which moved from its previous location in the mall. As well, in late May 2009, Labels opened their new 30,000 sq ft (2,787.1 m2) store in the lower level of the old Walmart location with access from both inside the mall as well as from the parking lot.

The Village Shopping Centre is located at 430 Topsail Road, near Columbus Drive. The mall is currently jointly owned by Plazacorp Retail Properties and Kimco Realty. In the past, The Village was owned by Cambridge Shopping Centres (now Ivanhoe Cambridge).
